Description/Job Summary

Basic Purpose of the Position:
The key process for the Applications Engineer is to work with customers to design and implement innovative ideas for the ongoing challenges in thermal management. The work will include communication with internal and external teams to provide winning solutions that meet the customer requirements. The engineer will be in charge of each design from initial design to prototyping.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Experience in the use of CFD software to conduct thermal analysis
  • Work with customers on designing optimal thermal solutions
  • Respond to technical queries from customers, inside and outside sales representatives
  • Responsible for writing and presenting technical reports
  • Visit customers to promote products and discuss applications
  • Work with manufacturing team to finalize a working solution for the customer
  • Support R&D effort through the characterization and the testing of prototype heatsinks.
  • Lead and providing engineering support for Thermal Product Development projects.
Requested Knowledge, Competencies and Abilities:
  • Five year minimum experience in thermal management product for electronics.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Master of Science in Thermal Fluids preferred
  • Knowledge in Heat Transfer and Thermal Fluids Sciences is a must
  • Experience in Military thermal applications is desired asset.
  • Experience in solving two phase flow problems is an asset
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • French speaking is a plus
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and passport (traveling to Canada will be required)
  • Require Security Assessment and Fingerprinting clearance
