Description/Job Summary

Basic Purpose of the Position:
As part of a regional team servicing users in Canada, Mexico and USA, the IT Helpdesk/Infrastructure Specialist provides troubleshooting services and quick break-fix response for end-user problems.  Providing pro-active help desk and infrastructure services to deliver high quality, highly available computing services to all end-users is the key challenge for this position. This position works in close collaboration with team members in other locations on a daily basis.
 
Main Responsibilities:
  • Receive, track, and resolve or escalate help desk calls in a timely fashion.
  • Provide prompt troubleshooting services for break-fix problems and schedule timely delivery for end-user requests.
  • Write and test user and technical documentation for Kace knowledgebase.
  • Participate in cross-audit activities for Information Systems.
  • Coordinate hardware and software deployments.
  • Maintain hardware and software inventory tracking.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, enforcement and documentation of procedural and security standards.
  • Maintenance of ITAR/DFARS Compliance policies and standards.
Requested Knowledge, Competencies and Abilities:
  • B.S. Degree Computer Information Systems discipline or equivalent Business Experience
  • Professional Microsoft Certification is a plus
  • Strong PC Setup and support skills
  • Strong Microsoft OS and application skills
  • VM and  Networking Familiarity
  • Must be a Permanent US Citizen
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and passport (traveling to Canada will be required)
