Description/Job Summary

Design and oversee the fabrication of tooling and dies, used in the stamping, punching, forming, fixturing, and drawing of fuse and hybrid components, as well as the overall assembly of fuse and hybrid parts, as they relate to EV Products.  This includes the generation of details and assembly drawings, interfacing with outside vendors, conducting trials and production support.  Provide support to product development teams as assigned. Develop project schedules as required as they relate to EV Product tooling. Prepare and present project details and updates to cross functional teams and Management. Support Cross Functional Teams, Manufacturing, Quality, and Manufacturing Plants; on product development and released product, related to strategies, objectives, action plans, and open issues to closure.  Manage tooling part numbers and tooling tags as required by Tier 1 and OEM customers for customer owned tooling.
  • Familiarity with machine shop practices.
  • Associates degree or equivalent related to machine technology, a higher degree will offset 1-2 yrs of experience, to be reviewed on an as need basis.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in the design of tools and or dies including hands on experience.
  • CAD proficiency.
  • Interaction with product development teams required.
  • Hands-on individual with creativity.
