The Technical Sales Manager will provide support and technical knowledge to the Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, New Mexico and Colorado region for all Mersen PTT products.

  • Support existing customer relationships while developing new contracts and relationships.
  • Collaborate with site technicians and managers to initiate/follow-up on test installs and inspections.
  • Travel within midwest to work with company-wide base of PTT customers, no weekend travel, approx. 12 nights per month
  • Follow up on existing business leads and data collection
  • Identify potential new customers based on field feedback while working closely with engineering and sales team.
  • Acheive aggressive revenue and increase market share within the region
  • Respond to detailed requests for quote, requests for price and requests for information.
  • Professionaly represent Mersen at trade shows and events.
  • Supported out of the Boonton, NJ Mersen office - this position would be a home office position.

Experience and skills

2+ years’ technical outside sales experience; electrical and motors helpful; working with OEM’s a plus
Bachelor’s Degree or technical degree in Engineering (electrical or mechanical preferred)
Trade/Technical School degree; considered with commensurate experience
Computer savvy; Microsoft Office Suite and CRM-Salesforce; and JDE a plus

Dynamic personality, consistent and persistent, proactive and reactive when necessary, team-player
Ability to work independently with interpersonal, organizational, time management and reporting skills
Excellent communication skills and a strong command of the English language
Tactful, diplomatic and customer-focused with a strong sense of urgency
